Johnson wins final tournament before US Open

American Dustin Johnson has won the final PGA Tour tournament ahead of the US Open.

He's birdied two of his final three holes to win the PGA Tour's St Jude Classic by a shot.

Fellow countryman John Merrick has finished second, while defending US Open champion Rory McIlroy has finished in a tie for seventh, three shots behind Johnson.

Danny Lee's faded, to finish tied for 49th.
