Lindsay Tait hopes to rejoin Breakers

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Basketball News | Wednesday May 9 2012 6:15

Tall Blacks guard Lindsay Tait is hopeful the Sky City Breakers will come knocking with a deal.

Tait's on the free agent list of the Australian basketball league, after a year out of the competition.

He played for the Breakers in their first three seasons and says he'd love to return.

"I'd love to stay home and play, it would make things a lot easier. There's a lot of things that factor into the Australian NBL, there's a salary cap, there's a points system. It's not necessarily always the top talent that's playing."

Tait believes he could provide some real benefits to the Breakers side, and would fit into their family culture.

"I know what they're all about you know, I've got a young family and I guess a lot of those guys have families and they pride themselves as a club and being a family unit."

He believes there's a role for him.

"I don't know what the full situation is with their points, but I think they need a back-up point guard from the signings that I've seen so far."

Lindsay Tait says he's already spoken with some clubs and is hopeful a deal can be sorted.
