Body found on banks of Hutt River

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Wellington News | Wednesday August 29 2012 10:17

Police are treating the death of a teenager found on the banks of the Hutt River as unexplained.

The body, which was clothed, was discovered by a member of the public just before eight this morning, near the riverside car park.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton says a pathologist is at the scene, and the body will be removed shortly to undergo a post mortem examination.

He says the results of that should be available tomorrow morning.
