By: Blair Cunningham | Lower North Island News | Wednesday April 25 2012 12:23

A motorcyclist has died in Upper Hutt.

Emergency services were called just before 11.30am to Moonshine Bridge on State Highway Two to reports the motorcyclist had crashed into a road barrier.

Police Inspector Marty Parker says the motorcyclist was travelling south when the bike struck the barrier and the rider died at the scene.

He says at this stage the exact cause of the accident is not known.
