Woman's death due to overdose

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Lower North Island News | Thursday April 26 2012 15:26

A coroner has released his findings into death of a Masterton woman who died from a prescription drug overdose.

Maureen Moenoa died in October 2009 after consuming an excessive amount of the methadone drug being prescribed to her.

The 46 year old mother had been on the methadone programme since 1995.

Coroner Ian Smith found that while Miss Moenoa was known to associate with users of methamphetamine, there were no other illicit drugs involved in her death.
