SPCA overflowing with rescued dogs

By: Jacqui Stanford | Latest Auckland News | Saturday August 11 2012 19:42

Auckland's SPCA has an overflow of rescued dogs at its Animal Village in Mangere and is trying to tempt people to adopt a canine.

It's offering 40 percent off the cost until next Sunday, in a campaign called â Exercise your heart. Adopt a dogâ .

SPCA Auckland CEO Christine Kalin when you adopt a dog, you'll not only get lots of heart-healthy exercise walking it, but youâ ll also get as much unconditional love from your canine companion as you can handle.

She says it will also warm the cockles of your heart to know you've saved a dog that has had a hard start in life.
