Temp boss named for super ministry

By: Felix Marwick | Latest Political News | Thursday April 26 2012 11:31

A temporary boss has been named for the Government's planned super ministry.

State Services commissioner Iain Rennie has named David Smol to be the acting chief executive of the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment when it is formed in July.

Mr Smol is currently the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, one of the four departments that is to be merged into the new Ministry.

A permanent chief executive for the new ministry is expected to be named by the end of September.
