Police release name of 18-month-old boy

By: Anna Cross | New Zealand News | Monday May 7 2012 19:55

Police have released the name of the 18-month-old boy who died after a free standing stove fell on him in Te Aroha.

He was Kobi Collier.

A post mortem was carried out today and an interim result has been provided to both police and the coroner.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whitehead says the results are consistent with the circumstances told to investigators by people in the house at the time.

He says police still have a number of people they need to speak to.
