By: Jacqui Stanford | New Zealand News | Friday May 25 2012 17:25

A bill to further raise the price of cigarettes has flown through its first reading at Parliament, and is headed to select committee.

The law change would raise excise taxes on tobacco for the next four years, seeing the price of cigarettes hit around $20 for a 20 pack by 2016.
