Low dose oral contraceptive to be fully funded

PHARMAC has approved a low dose oral contraceptive brand to be fully funded for the first time.

It says the funding of Ava 20 ED is a great breakthrough for women who are not suited to the higher dose contraceptive pills.

Doctors have been pushing for this decision for some time.
