Boat towed to port after onboard fire

A boat is being towed into the port at Greymouth by another fishing boat after a fire onboard.

Police were advised of a fire on a boat at sea just after 11am and local fishing boats, the coastguard, and rescue helicopter all responded.

The fire was brought under control by those on board.

There were no injuries.
