Reliance on generators following storm

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Emergency News | Sunday March 4 2012 15:09

Farmers in South Taranaki are relying on generators while they wait for power to be restored in the area.

It has been badly affected following yesterday's weather bomb.

Federated Farmers Taranaki Dairy chairperson Derek Gibson says it's a waiting game.

He says power is back on in some areas but farmers elsewhere are still without.

Derek Gibson says farmers are giving each other a hand by sharing generators so stock can be milked.
