Guilty plea in skate park assault

By: Anna Cross | Latest Crime News | Monday May 14 2012 10:50

The man at the centre of a skate park clash has pleaded guilty to two assault charges.

Craig Platt has appeared in the Auckland District Court this morning.

His lawyer has told the court his client will be applying to be discharged without conviction.

The 48-year-old was first charged in March with assaulting a 15-year-old boy, after a video of the incident at Victoria Park was posted online.

A second assault charge was laid two weeks ago.

Platt will be sentenced in September.
