Man arrested over milk theft

By: Blair Cunningham | Latest Crime News | Monday April 23 2012 15:26

A man's been arrested in relation to the theft of 4,000 litres of milk from Mount Maunganui.

The milk, branded Cow and Gate and Meadowfresh, was taken from a Totara Street storage depot on three separate occasions earlier this month.

At the time, police warned the public to keep an eye out for cheap milk, as the stolen products had just 10 days shelf life.

Police have now arrested a 52-year-old unemployed man who'll appear in court tomorrow, facing three burglary charges.
