SFO charges against directors may not go ahead

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Business News | Monday June 4 2012 8:42

The next day in court for two former Bridgecorp directors may not come.

Rod Petricevic and Robert Roest are still facing criminal charges brought by the Serious Fraud Office.

They've recently been jailed for six and a half years for misleading investors.

The New Zealand Herald reports a trial was due to be heard in September but a criminal defence lawyer says the SFO might not go ahead, because a conviction wouldn't add much to the sentences already being served.

Of the seven charges laid, two are solely against Rod Petricevic.
