Chorus profit rings true with analysts

| Business News | Monday August 27 2012 14:07

Chorus' maiden profit is ringing true with analysts.

The telecommunications infrastructure company has made a net profit of just over a million dollars in the seven months since it split from Telecom.

It says there are early signs of a demand for high speed fibre.

The company's paying a dividend of 14.6 cents per share rising to 25.5 cents per share for the next year.

Arie Dekker from ABN Amro Craigs says that's better than the market was expecting.
