Please note - the camera only operates during these times:

Mike Hosking Breakfast: 6am-8:30am weekdays.
Larry Williams Drive: 4pm-7pm weekdays.

What Can You See on the Cameras?

The live studio camera above shows a view of the main Newstalk ZB studio. The host has a sound mixing desk in front, where they can control the various items that go to air, such as their microphone, other studio microphones, phone calls etc. They also have several screens showing the on air, phone, and news system.

Depending on the time of day there can also be a producer and a technical producer sitting in another studio to the left. They communicate to the host via a communication system between studios. They can also answer phone calls, and control the on air system and volume levels.

The other camera is located in the main news reading studio. The News reader can be seen reading the news from a computer screen, and controlling the audio inserts that go into each bulletin. You can watch recordings of the latest bulletins on the right. On weekdays from 6am to 6pm each new bulletin is available from 15 minutes past each hour. Watch today's hourly video recordings from the Newstalk ZB news studio here.
