After a couple of months recovering from heart surgery, Paul Holmes will be returning to the Newstalk ZB airwaves on September 22.
The 62-year-old, who had been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - a genetic condition in which the heart muscle becomes thick and blocks blood flow - underwent a four-hour open-heart operation in Auckland in June to remove a blockage and carry out remedial work on his heart.
To quicken the recovery process, he was put on life support in an induced coma.
Paul and his family have received a lot of support, and he has recovered well from the surgery.
Kerre Woodham will continue to host Paul Holmes Saturday Mornings until Paul's return.
