Share |

By: Claire Turnbull | Monday, October 01, 2012

On today’s show Nutritionist Claire Turnbull and Danny Watson talked about digestive health

Here are some top tips from today’s show:

  • Make sure you chew your food properly
  • Eat slowly. Put your knife down between mouthfuls
  • Keep up your fluids – particularly if you are doing lots of training
  • Make sure you are getting enough fibre. Fibre rich foods include fruits, vegetables, wholegrain breads and cereals, nuts and seeds, pulses (e.g. lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans, baked beans)
  • If you have excessive bloating, gas or abdominal pain after eating – you need individual dietary advice – contact Mission Nutrition
