Kiwi sailors remain contenders in Barcelona

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Yachting News | Saturday May 19 2012 11:58

Kiwi sailors Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie remain in medal contention at the 470 world championships off Barcelona.

They sit third after the penultimate day of racing but they're just a point behind the leading crews from Great Britain and the Netherlands heading into the medal race.

Meanwhile, Dan Slater has finished 16th at the Finn world championships in England.

Great Britain's Ben Ainslie has won the world title for a record sixth time.
