Groupama's poised to go a long way to sealing victory in the Volvo Ocean Race.

The French syndicate, who hold the overall lead, are 20 nautical miles ahead of second-placed Camper Team New Zealand on leg eight and are expected into eastern France early tomorrow.

The leading boats have experienced rapid speeds in the past 24 hours, covering up to 560 nautical miles.
