America's Cup: Team NZ miss out on time with Dixon

Related

The postponement of race eight of the Louis Vuitton Cup finals series has denied Team New Zealand the chance to enjoy another high speed experience.

High winds stopped the race from going ahead today, denying the Kiwi syndicate a chance to wrap up the series against Luna Rossa.

The race will now take place tomorrow.

Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker says they had planned to spend some time with Kiwi Indy Car driver Scott Dixon.

"It was great to meet him, he's obviously a super hero in America in the world of motor racing and he made an offer for the guys to go up and to watch him tomorrow at Sonoma.

"But unfortunately we're going to be out doing our thing, in our speed boats."
