Abu Dhabi's lead reduced on leg seven

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Yachting News | Tuesday May 29 2012 14:04

The latest Volvo Ocean Race update spells more bad news for Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing.

The leg seven leader's advantage has been cut to just 30 nautical miles by Puma Ocean Racing, with Camper Team New Zealand now just 55 miles off the pace.

Camper skipper Chris Nicholson says it's a game on the water as they close in on port in Lisbon.

"It's definitely the most positional changes I think we've seen. Boats going from first to sixth, sixth to first and anything in between, not what I'd call normal."

Nicholson says he wouldn't be surprised if the fleet was in a line all battling for the lead in a day.
