Leg seven goes to Abu Dhabi Racing

By: Rikki Swannell | Latest Yachting News | Friday June 1 2012 11:53

Abu Dhabi Racing has clinched a surprise win on leg seven of the Volvo Ocean Race.

They've narrowly crossed the finish line in Lisbon just six minutes ahead of Groupama after 12 days of racing from Miami.

Camper Team New Zealand's been forced to settle for fifth on leg seven on the Volvo Ocean Race into Lisbon.

Locked in a neck and neck battle with Spanish outfit Telefonica in the closing stages, Camper had the advantage heading into the final nautical mile but fell away in the last 500 metres.
