Camper slips to third

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Yachting News | Saturday May 5 2012 9:04

Camper Team New Zealand has slipped to third on leg six of the Volvo Ocean Race as they take a westerly route to Miami.

Puma Ocean Racing still lead the fleet, 13.5 nautical miles ahead of Team Telefonica, who are now second, with Camper a further seven miles off the pace.

Puma are taking an easterly route to try and find a quick exit from the current light wind trough, while Camper's sailing closer to the Virgin Islands in search of new breeze.

Telefonica is taking the middle road.
