Nadal advances to Rome Masters final

Rafael Nadal has thrashed David Ferrer 7-6, 6-0 to reach a seventh Rome tennis Masters final.

Nadal will face either world number one Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, or world number two Roger Federer in the tournament decider.

Li Na will face Maria Sharapova in the women's final.

Serena Williams withdrew from her semi-final with Na, while Sharapova beat Angelique Kerber in straight sets.
