Olympic prep not ideal - Erakovic

By: Nick Walker | Latest Tennis News | Friday July 13 2012 14:18

Kiwi tennis number one Marina Erakovic admits her Olympic preparations aren't where they need to be a fortnight out from the Games.

Erakovic has been beaten by Poland's Urszula Radwanska in three sets in the second round of the Stanford WTA tour event in San Francisco.

She says she'd really like some time away from tennis.

"I feel like I do need a little break, but now is not the time. I've got a tournament next week and then I've got the Olympics, so I've got to really hunker down and do my best now for these next events."

Erakovic has another tournament next week before heading to London.
