Novak Djokovic has won his third Masters title of the year to stay in the hunt for the year end world number one tennis ranking.
The Serbian has beaten defending champion David Ferrer 7-5, 7-5 to win in Paris for the second time.
Djokovic says it was a battle.
"Physically I didn't feel as good today, but in the important points, in the important moments I managed to overcome the challenge and I managed to play the right shots."
The world number two is on a 17 match unbeaten run since the US Open and says he's in his best form of the season.
"I am definitely playing the best tennis this year, including the start of the year with the Australian Open and Dubai that I had a great run starting 2013."
Ferrer says his performance was stronger than in his win over Rafael Nadal in the semis.
"I play better than yesterday, and I lost the key with 5-4 in the first set. And in the second I didn't serve so good...I think my chance is impossible to beat him."
Djokovic and Auckland's Heineken Open champion Ferrer now head to London for the ATP World Tour finals starting tomorrow.
