Roger Federer's crediting a six-week break for making the final of the Madrid Tennis Masters.
Federer's cruised into the clay-court decider with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic.
He'll play Czech Tomas Berdych in the final after his 7-6, 7-6 win over Juan Martin del Potro.
Federer hasn't played since the tournament in Miami and says it's worked out as planned.
"It couldn't happen better than right now, just to come back and right away be in another final. Things are going really well for me and it would be amazing to win the tournament here again."
Roger Federer will return to number two in the world rankings if he wins the tournament.
