Heather Watson confirmed for ASB Classic

A promising youngster has been confirmed for the ASB Classic but the big name will be announced this morning.

New tournament director Karl Budge says 20-year-old Brit Heather Watson will play in Auckland in January.

"Not only is she Marina Erakovic's partner, which is certainly going to help familiarity to that name, but she's also in the form of her life having just won her first WTA tournament on the weekend in Osaka."

Watson's confirmation will be followed up this morning by either world number one Victoria Azarenka or fourth ranked Agnieska Radwanska.
