Kansas City Chiefs win day after linebacker's murder-suicide

By: Radio Sport staff | Other Sport News | Monday December 3 2012 14:45

The Kansas City Chiefs have beaten the Carolina Panthers 27-21 in the NFL, just a day after an unthinkable tragedy struck the team.

The football was of little consequence at a sombre Arrowhead Stadium in the wake of the murder-suicide of linebacker Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins.

The Chiefs hung a jersey of Belcher's in his locker as part of their grieving, although the team did not publicly memorialise him before the game.
