Heated pants - the latest cycling revolution

By: Nick Walker | Other Sport News | Wednesday August 1 2012 17:10

Heated pants are the latest revolution being touted by the British and Australian track cyclists.

But the Kiwi team reckons it's all a bit ridiculous.

The British and Australians are wearing battery powered heated pants to keep their legs at the right temperature before races.

New Zealand coach Tim Carswell says those teams are also well known for putting out misinformation.

Carswell says the equipment they've got is the best they can afford, and they don't need all the bells and whistles.

New Zealand's Linda Villumsen and Jack Bauer are both in time trial action on the road at the Olympics tonight.
