A pleasing throw for Gill

By: Nick Walker | Other Sport News | Sunday February 5 2012 6:38

A pleasing throw at the International Track Meet for shotputter Jacko Gill, but not much more.

Gill's won the shotput with a throw of 22.06 metres, which he's taking as an acceptable result.

He says he wanted around 23 metres, but to get 22 was good enough.

Valerie Adams has thrown 20.35 metres, while Nick Willis has finished second in the 2 mile handicap race to American training partner Will Leer.
