The International Olympic Committee has expressed support for the World Anti-Doping Agency's plan to raise the punishment for serious violations of its rules from two to four years.
IOC president Jacques Rogge says the draft text is completely in line with the Osaka Rule, which prevented athletes from competing in the next Olympics if they were banned for more than six months.
The IOC's Osaka Rule was annulled last year by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled against the double punishment of an athlete.
