Greg Henderson, Jack Bauer and Linda Villumsen have been named New Zealand's road cycling representatives at the London Olympics.
Villumsen will make her Olympic debut on the road for New Zealand after competing for Denmark at Beijing in 2008.
Henderson says he will benefit from riding the Tour de France beforehand.
"90 percent of the Tour de France peloton's going to be doing the Olympic games, because you can't even describe the strength and the power that you have from a Grand Tour. You can't train your body like that for three weeks. To be honest it's an advantage to do a Grand Tour."
Four-time Olympian Julian Dean and Beijing track double medallist Hayden Roulston have been selected as reserves.
