By: Guy Heveldt | Other Sport News | Monday May 7 2012 12:05

Kiwi triathlete Ryan Sissons has finished second in the World Cup event in Mexico, boosting his chances of confirming his spot in the New Zealand Olympic squad.

Sissons has finished in just over two hours behind Belgium's Simon De Cuyper.

The 23-year-old has been selected in the squad to go to London, with New Zealand needing to finish in the top eight of the rankings for him to be assured of a ticket.
