Adams at the end of her whirlwind trip home

By: Rikki Swannell | Other Sport News | Wednesday November 28 2012 18:32

A whirlwind two months at home is about to come to an end for Olympic shotput champion Valerie Adams.

Since returning home from Europe in September, Adams has received her gold medal, launched a book, made numerous speeches and run a number of coaching clinics.

Adams says it's been crazy and she's exhausted.

"It's been really good to be home. I am heading away on Friday back to Switzerland. I'm not really looking forward to it but you've just got to do what you've got to do."

However Adams says this is just a short trip back to Switzerland, and she'll be back on Christmas Day for summer training at home.
