Armstrong accuses anti-doping agency of 'vendetta'

By: AAP | Other Sport News | Friday July 6 2012 14:43

Lance Armstrong has accused US Anti-Doping Agency officials of waging a â vendetta⠝ against him.

It comes amid reports that several former teammates have received reduced suspensions after admitting to doping, in return for testifying against Armstrong.

On Twitter, Armstrong says that means those riders have told USADA exactly what they wanted to hear and got complete immunity and anonymity.

He says this isn't about wanting to clean up cycling, rather itâ s just a plain ol' selective prosecution that reeks of vendetta.

There are reports that George Hincapie, Levi Leipheimer, David Zabriskie and Christian Vande Velde will testify against him and have received six month bans.

All four are currently riding the Tour de France, and their team bosses have all denied the reports.
