A better day on the water for New Zealand's kayakers at the latest world cup regatta in Duisburg, Germany. After missing out on A finals from the opening day, the K2 1000 combination of Steven Ferguson and Darryl Fitzgerald took out their B final, three seconds clear of their nearest rivals from France. Canoe Racing New Zealand high performance manager Grant Restall says it was the best response. He says they performed a well paced race. Ben Fouhy opted against racing in his C final in the K1 1000. Teneale Hatton claimed sixth spot in her B final in the K1 500. Lisa Carrington's advanced to tomorrow's A final in the K1 200, with a second place finish in the semifinal, but her combination with Erin Taylor K2 500 failed to make the final.
