Kiwi Simon van Velthooven's getting used to his high profile new best friend.
He was blown away when six time gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy started praising him after the race.
"It was funny, in drug testing he called me a legend for winning a bronze as a 23-year-old because he wasn't 24 until he won a medal. He's got six gold medals now and he said just 'give me a call if you need any help' so it's just awesome."
van Velthooven will race again in Japan on September 1.
