Mixed results in Supercross

By: Gary Denvir | Other Sport News | Saturday April 14 2012 11:00

Mixed results for New Zealand's top BMX riders in qualifying for the UCI Supercross World Cup in Norway.

Sarah Walker is through to the elimination round in the women's event, clocking the eighth fastest time in her first competition back after a shoulder injury.

Mark Willers is also through in the men's event, but Kurt Pickard didn't even get to the start line after a heavy crash during practice.

Pickard will fly home tomorrow for an MRI scan to determine the extent of the injuries to his wrist and ankle.
