Diamondsblacks reach qualifying final

The New Zealand men's baseball team will play off for a place in next year's World Baseball Classic.

The Diamondblacks have downed the Philippines in their elimination game and advance to a rematch against Chinese Taipei for the spot in the tournament.

Chinese Taipei beat New Zealand 10-0 earlier in qualifying.
