The New Zealand women's football team remains focused on a drought-breaking victory over Australia. The Football Ferns went within a whisker of their first victory over the Matildas since 1994 when the Aussies scored an injury time equaliser on Sunday. The two sides meet in Wollongong again this afternoon. New Zealand coach Tony Readings says this is the best chance they've had in a long time to beat Australia. "The main thing for us is that we've been consistent so we go into these games with confidence knowing that we are in form and we are improving gradually." Kick-off's at 2:30pm. Photo: Photosport |
