Moss relieved Gold Coast saga has ended

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Football News | Thursday July 5 2012 13:36

All Whites goalkeeper Glen Moss is enjoying being back in Wellington following a tumultuous period in his A-League career.

Moss has started a three year contract with the Phoenix after escaping the chaos that surrounded the now defunct Gold Coast United.

The club had its license revoked following a dispute between billionaire owner Clive Palmer and Football Federation Australia.

Moss says he's relieved to have put that saga behind him.

"I'm glad I can reflect on it now because going through it was pretty horrible to be honest. The first season it was so good and then it seemed to go downhill in the second year and of course ending in the club dying, so it was pretty hard."

Moss says he's around 80 percent fit after he tore his adductor midway through last season.
