Bolton's quest for Premier League survival has received a boost with a 2-1 away win over Aston Villa. Owen Coyle's men fell behind to a Stephen Warnock second half strike but recovered in impressive fashion with two goals in quick succession. They remain in the bottom three but are now just one point from safety with a game in hand, while Villa have been dragged into relegation speculation only three points above the drop zone with three matches to play. Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba, recovering from an on-field cardiac arrest, was recognised with 60 seconds' applause in the sixth minute in recognition of his shirt number. |
