Sigmund wins big at Phoenix awards

Ben Sigmund has been the big winner at the Wellington Phoenix awards night.

Sigmund won the overall player of the year as well as taking home the media's player of the year, player's player of the year and fan's player of the year gongs.

Paul Ifill was presented with the golden boot award as top goal scorer while Tim Brown's 40-yard stunner against Sydney FC was given goal of the season.

There were tributes to departing players Brown and Daniel, with those two and Andrew Durante and Tony Lochhead recognised for bringing up 100 games for the club in the season.
