Heavyweight joins A-League clubs in chase for Beckham

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Football News | Wednesday November 21 2012 6:44

A-League clubs have been joined by a heavyweight in the chase for David Beckham.

After announcing his plans to leave the LA Galaxy after next month's MLS Cup, a host of Australian, Chinese and South American clubs have formally expressed their interest to bid, including the A-League's Melbourne Heart.

French club Paris Saint-Germain is also keen and is reportedly set to match the offer it tabled late last year, which the former England captain came close to accepting.
