Lescott brushes away racism fears

By: Rikki Swannell | Latest Football News | Friday May 25 2012 11:37

England defender Joleon Lescott is brushing aside fears of racism at next month's European football champions.

The players' union has concerns players and their families will be targeted during the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Lescott says it's an ongoing issue, but not one he worries about on a day to day basis.

He says it's not something that will ever got away and it's a touchy subject.

Lescott says unfortunately it's something some players have become used to, and most of the time, is simply something to be ignored.
