Glen Moss is edging closer to a return to the Wellington Phoenix starting XI.
The All Whites goalkeeper's second spell at the Phoenix has been hampered by injuries, leaving him to watch from the bench.
Moss says he came through 90 minutes of a reserve game earlier this week and the majority of kicks went where they should so he's pretty happy.
Moss says his time out of the game has made him realise how much he's missed it.
He says he's as excited as an 18-year-old would be to play again.
Moss says he hopes to show coach Ricki Herbert he's ready to return to the starting line-up.
He says Herbert likes enthusiastic, energetic players and he thinks he can bring that to the squad.
Glen Moss is in Auckland with the Phoenix squad as they build-up to tomorrow night's A-League match against the Perth Glory at Eden Park.
