The All Whites' run to the 2010 Football World Cup continues to bear fruit for New Zealand Football. NZF has posted a surplus of $212,000 for 2011. Chairman Frank van Hattum says the reinvestment of the $7.7 million surplus from two years ago, has put them in a position maintain a high profile. van Hattum says they are always able to send their teams to international tournaments now which is what sponsors like. "The All Whites set in motion this great run we're having but in behind that the under 17s and the under 20s and the opportunities we get to go to these world cups and also the club world cups. "You know it's a world stage. We're little old New Zealand and suddenly we're playing with the big boys, and that helps." NZF Chairman Frank van Hattum says their fourth successive financial surplus is proof that they're continuing to grow. |
